The Friends of the Dunwoody Library accepts donations of books and other types of library materials for our book sales to raise funds in support of the Dunwoody Library.  Items should be in good condition, things you would consider bringing back into your home.  This means:  no mold, no mildew, no stench, no insect or rodent damaged items.  If you have any doubt abut the condition of the donations, bring it in and we will process it.

As a guideline for the age of items to donate, please refer to the chart below.

Donations may be left in the lobby by the door to the Friends workroom (the J. Brooke Baker Room) anytime the library is open.  A hand truck is available for use with heavy boxes.  If you need assistance unloading your donation, volunteers are usually hard at work every Tuesday morning from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon and will be happy to assist you. If you have a large donation and need assistance getting it to the library, please call the Dunwoody Library at 770-512-6718, give the librarian your name and telephone number, and a member of the Friends will contact you to arrange help.

The Friends of the Dunwoody library is a section 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and all donations are tax deductible to the extent provided by law.  You can pick up your receipt at the main desk in the library.

Thank you for your support.
